11th September 2024. 4 of us had one of the best/tastiest Indian meals here. Excellent friendly service. 30 a head including plenty of drink!!! Well worth the money. Thank you. Brian from Suffolk!

The food and service here are both brilliant.

What a fantastic evening. The staff were warm friendly, very polite and professional. The food is exceptional. We definitely recommend visiting this restaurant. Will be visiting again in the future.

Under new management for less than a year. The Jalfrezi was very tasty indeed, very distinct flavours. Very pleased with our reasonably priced meal. We wish them every success.

**Restaurant Review: Blue Lagoon Restaurant** **Location:** Evesham **Ambiance:** Blue Lagoon, now under new management, offers a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere that beautifully blends traditional decor with modern touches. The warm lighting and comfortable seating make it an ideal spot for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings. The staff are courteous and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience from start to finish. **Food:** The menu at Blue Lagoon is a delightful journey through India's rich culinary landscape. Here are some highlights: - **Starters:** The Samosas and Paneer Tikka are perfect appetizers to start your meal. The samosas are crispy on the outside and filled with a savory blend of spiced potatoes and peas. The paneer is marinated to perfection and grilled, offering a smoky flavor that pairs well with the accompanying chutneys. - **Main Courses:** - **Butter Chicken:** A must-try, the Butter Chicken is rich and creamy with tender pieces of chicken that melt in your mouth. The balance of spices in the tomato-based sauce is impeccable. - **Chicken Tikka Masala:** Another standout dish, the Chicken Tikka Masala is a crowd favorite with its robust flavors. The chicken is perfectly cooked and the masala sauce is creamy, tangy, and packed with spices that create a wonderful depth of flavor. - **Lamb Rogan Josh:** This dish features succulent lamb cooked in a flavorful gravy with hints of ginger and garlic. The slow-cooked lamb absorbs the spices beautifully, making each bite a delight. - **Tawa Dishes:** The Tawa specialties are exceptional, offering a unique taste experience. The meats and vegetables are cooked on a flat griddle, which enhances their flavors and provides a delightful char. - **Vegetable Biryani:** The Biryani is fragrant and well-seasoned, with each grain of rice cooked to perfection. The mix of vegetables provides a satisfying and hearty vegetarian option. - **Bread and Sides:** The Garlic Naan and Cheese Naan are standout items, soft and perfectly baked with generous toppings. They complement the main dishes wonderfully. The Raita and Mango Chutney are great sides to add a refreshing contrast to the spicier dishes. - **Desserts:** End your meal with the Gulab Jamun or Mango Kulfi. The Gulab Jamun is warm and sweet, with a lovely syrup that is not overly sugary. The Mango Kulfi is creamy and refreshing, a perfect palate cleanser. **Service:** The service at Blue Lagoon is top-notch. I saw on Facebook that this place was having a "Grand Opening" on Father's Day. I thought it would be something different so why not. I am not sure that my wife and daughters, son in law and granddaughter appreciated the 70 mile round trip but "it was my day and my rules." We hadn't got a clue what to expect but as we entered we were warmly greeted, with the strains of a very accomplished violinist in the background. There's a first time for everything. It was when we were seated opposite the Lord and Lady Mayor (plus some rather nice looking desserts in the window) that I realised the guys here were making a big effort. Unsurprisingly it was rammed, which can be a bit of a worry as the food and service can suffer but pleased to say that they were on the ball. OK we might have been slightly carried away by the occasion but we had a great time. Nothing at all lacking with the service, food and of course there was a very 'conducive' atmosphere. This was further aided by an extremely talented close up magician, I am not easily impressed but this guy was a cut above. I wish I could give him and the violinist a plug. It's a Bangladeshi restaurant, sister to the well regarded Thespian in Stratford on Avon. The menu is therefore instantly recognisable as typical of many restaurants and the food is up there with the best. Even a particularly fussy daughter and 2 year old granddaughter enjoyed it. The photos will tell you more than I can. In a nutshell, moist chicken and very flavoursome. The bill was quite reasonable and I am definitely returning if I'm in the area after 6.00pm. I am thinking that this restaurant may be under new ownership rather than a new venture, I am sure much will have changed with the food so I would be interested to know what the locals make of it. There is a lot of competition in the area and this is a good thing provided there is enough custom. A night to remember for us.

Had the chicken biriani, my friend had prawn curry, the food was very delicious, the service was very good, delicious desserts, very friendly staff, highly recommend this fine restaurant.
